Reflections from the Mirrors: East and West

"Everything is a manifestation of God. When you know that the power that is Life is inside you, you accept your own divinity, and yet you are humble because you see the same divinity in everyone else." Don Miguel Ruiz

Please note, this is not the divinity of those you like or approve of, but the divinity of all.

"There is only the Ishta Devata everywhere, and there is nothing else: jidhar dekhta hun, udhar tu hi tu: "Wherever I look, I see you, God." It is not many Krishnas or many Devis or many Narayanas that we are seeing. It is only one Narayana. As we do not see many waves but see only one ocean. This Atman should be known not as any kind of object of knowledge, but as the substance of one’s own Self as well as the Self of everybody else. " Swami Krishnananda

Paths to Freedom, Part 1

This is a blog for my workshops/classes on the practices and parallels in Toltec and Yogic teachings (specifically drawing from the Eagle Knight Lineage and the Yoga Sutras, respectively). Both worlds seek freedom, address and utilize the energy body, and call us back to our divine Selves.

I have received some powerful teachings from some fantastic teachers throughout the years, which I am eager to share. Of course, to be a Yogi and/or a Warrior, it all comes down to practice, practice, practice. So the classes will be experiential as much as informational. My Toltec and Yogic family will be invited to post and comment here, so be sure to check in regularly. For now, I leave you with the Circle of Fire Prayer, by Don Miguel Ruiz:

Today is the day of the Lord, when the Divinity returns to us.

When living our Free Will, and with all the Power of our Spirit,

We decide to live our lives in Free Communion with God,

With no Expectations.

We will live our lives with Gratitude, Love, Loyalty and Justice,

Beginning with Ourselves,

And continuing with our Brothers and Sisters.

We will respect all Creations as the Symbol or our Love Communion

With the One who Created us.

To the Eternal Happiness of Humanity.
